Legal overview.

The short version
  1. 1.LaughTrack is a prompting and editing interface. It does not train, host or run any video model.
  2. 2.Every frame is generated by third-party models (Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, MiniMax H3) through the SocialSight API. Those providers apply their own content policies and accept or reject each request on their own terms.
  3. 3.Every scene is written in the style of a show, never as the show. The people in it are the names and photos you supply; blank slots get original names. You are responsible for what you put in, including any names, likenesses, characters or copyrighted material, and for how you use the output.
  4. 4.LaughTrack is not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by any television network, studio or production company. Show names identify a visual and writing style, the way a genre does; they are not an offer of licensed content.
Summary of key points

1. What this service is

LaughTrack is a web interface that helps you write a sitcom-style script from an idea, turn it into prompts, and submit those prompts to third-party video generation models through the SocialSight API. The Service supplies templates, an editor and a player. It does not itself generate video.

The models available in the Service are operated by their respective providers and reached through SocialSight. Their names, capabilities, prices and policies are theirs and may change without notice.

2. We are a conduit

When you press Generate, the Service transmits your prompt (and any reference images you attached) to SocialSight, which forwards it to the model provider you selected. The provider decides whether to fulfil the request under its own acceptable-use and content policies, and produces the output. The Service does not review, moderate, edit and store the resulting video; it displays it from the provider's URL.

Where a request is rejected by a provider, the Service shows you the provider's reason verbatim. The Service does not override, retry around or attempt to evade a provider's decision.

Because the Service neither creates nor hosts the output, responsibility for the content of any generated video rests with the person who wrote the prompt and with the provider whose model produced it, under that provider's terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service disclaims liability for generated content.

3. Your prompts, your responsibility

You are solely responsible for everything you type into the Service: ideas, cast notes, dialogue, uploaded or generated reference images and edited prompts. If you describe or name a real person, a copyrighted character, a trademark or any other protected material, you represent that you have the right to do so for your intended use, or that your use is otherwise lawful (for example, as parody or commentary where your jurisdiction allows it).

The Service's show templates describe a visual style and a writing rhythm (lighting, camera coverage, set dressing, joke structure) and an archetype cast described by silhouette. They do not contain the scripts, characters, performers or footage of any television programme. Whether a particular generation infringes anyone's rights depends on what you asked for and how you use the result, and is your responsibility to assess.

You must not use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, that harasses or defames a real person, that depicts a real person in a sexual context, or that a reasonable viewer would take for a genuine recording of a real person or event. Model providers enforce their own rules on top of these.

4. Intellectual property and takedowns

The Service claims no ownership of your prompts or of generated output; any rights in output are governed by the provider's terms and applicable law. If you believe content produced through the Service infringes your rights, see our DMCA / Copyright Takedown Policy or write to copyright@laughtrack.ai with the material, the right you hold and your contact details; we will pass valid notices to the relevant provider and disable any project link we control.

Show titles used in the interface are the property of their owners and appear only to identify a style. No sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement is claimed or implied.

5. Credits and pricing

LaughTrack launches with pay-as-you-go pricing. Generation is paid in SocialSight credits at the model's per-second rate. The Service shows the rate card, an estimate for every take, and the provider's exact preflight price before you confirm. Credits are consumed by the provider when a job is accepted, whether or not you like the result; rejected jobs are not charged. Prices are set by SocialSight and the model providers and can change.

If the operator resells credits at a dollar rate, that rate is displayed beside every credit figure and is the operator's; it is not a SocialSight price.

6. Privacy

Projects, scripts and prompts are stored in your browser (localStorage) on your device. They are not stored on the Service's servers. Prompts are sent to Anthropic (for script and prompt writing) and to SocialSight (for generation) in order to provide the Service, under those companies' privacy terms. Clearing your browser storage deletes your projects.

For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes and contact

These terms may change as the Service and its providers change. Continued use after a change is acceptance. Questions: legal@laughtrack.ai.

Operator note: this text describes how the product works and allocates responsibility in plain language. Have counsel in your jurisdiction review it before charging customers.
