Terms of Service.
Last updated 16 September 2026. The full terms governing your use of LaughTrack. The short version is on the legal overview page.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and LaughTrack AI ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the LaughTrack web application, website, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service in any way — including joining the waitlist, browsing the site, or generating content — you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.
You represent that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and are legally able to form a binding contract. If you are not, you may not use the Service.
2. Arbitration notice and class action waiver
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
Except for disputes that may be brought in small claims court, you and we agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration and not in court, and that you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
You may opt out of this arbitration provision within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by sending a written notice to legal@laughtrack.ai with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your name and email address. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in court as described in the Governing Law section.
3. What the Service is
LaughTrack is a web interface that helps you write a sitcom-style script from an idea, turn it into prompts, and submit those prompts to third-party video generation models through the SocialSight API. The Service supplies templates, an editor, and a player. It does not itself generate, train, host, or run any video or language model.
The models available in the Service are operated by their respective providers (including but not limited to Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, and MiniMax H3) and are reached through SocialSight. Their names, capabilities, prices, and policies are theirs and may change without notice.
LaughTrack is a conduit. When you press Generate, the Service transmits your prompt (and any reference images you attached) to SocialSight, which forwards it to the model provider you selected. The provider decides whether to fulfil the request under its own acceptable-use and content policies, and produces the output. The Service does not review, moderate, edit, or store the resulting video; it displays it from the provider's URL.
Where a request is rejected by a provider, the Service shows you the provider's reason verbatim. The Service does not override, retry around, or attempt to evade a provider's decision.
4. Accounts
Some features of the Service may require you to provide an email address and other information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as needed.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Credits, pricing, and billing
LaughTrack launches with pay-as-you-go pricing. Generation is paid in SocialSight credits at the model provider's own per-second rate. The Service shows the rate card, an estimate for every take, and the provider's exact preflight price before you confirm a render.
Credits are consumed by the provider when a job is accepted, whether or not you like the result. Rejected jobs — those the provider declines to fulfil — are not charged. Re-renders and re-generations are new jobs and cost the same as the first render.
Writing (series bibles, episode scripts, take prompts, polish) is charged per action at the tier you select and is a small fraction of the render cost.
Prices are set by SocialSight and the model providers and can change at any time. If the operator of this deployment resells credits at a dollar rate, that rate is displayed beside every credit figure and is the operator's; it is not a SocialSight price.
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for credits consumed by accepted jobs, including jobs whose output you do not like, subject to applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy, available at /acceptable-use. The following are summarised here; the full policy controls.
You must not use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, that harasses or defames a real person, that depicts a real person in a sexual context without their consent, that depicts a minor in any sexual context, or that a reasonable viewer would take for a genuine recording of a real person or event.
You must not attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the Service, its servers, or the SocialSight API. You must not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
Model providers enforce their own content policies on top of LaughTrack's. A provider rejecting your request does not constitute a breach of these Terms by LaughTrack.
7. Your prompts and your responsibility
You are solely responsible for everything you type into the Service: ideas, cast notes, dialogue, uploaded or generated reference images, and edited prompts. If you describe or name a real person, a copyrighted character, a trademark, or any other protected material, you represent that you have the right to do so for your intended use, or that your use is otherwise lawful (for example, as parody or commentary where your jurisdiction allows it).
The Service's show templates describe a visual style and a writing rhythm (lighting, camera coverage, set dressing, joke structure) and an archetype cast described by silhouette. They do not contain the scripts, characters, performers, or footage of any television programme. Whether a particular generation infringes anyone's rights depends on what you asked for and how you use the result, and is your responsibility to assess.
You grant LaughTrack AI a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process your prompts and inputs solely as needed to operate the Service — transmitting them to SocialSight and its model providers, displaying results to you, and storing project data in your browser. We do not claim ownership of your prompts or inputs.
8. Generated content and ownership
LaughTrack claims no ownership of any output generated through the Service. Any rights in generated video, images, or text are governed by the model provider's terms and applicable law, not by these Terms.
We make no representation that generated output is original, non-infringing, or suitable for any particular use. You are responsible for evaluating and using generated content in accordance with the provider's terms and all applicable laws.
Because the Service neither creates nor hosts the output, responsibility for the content of any generated video rests with the person who wrote the prompt and with the provider whose model produced it, under that provider's terms.
9. Intellectual property and takedowns
The Service, including its templates, code, design, and text, is owned by LaughTrack AI and protected by intellectual property laws. Show titles used in the interface are the property of their owners and appear only to identify a style. No sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement is claimed or implied.
If you believe content produced through the Service infringes your rights, see our DMCA / Copyright Takedown Policy at /dmca or write to copyright@laughtrack.ai. We will pass valid notices to the relevant provider and disable any project link we control.
10. Disclaimers of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, THAT ANY MODEL WILL ACCEPT OR FULFIL YOUR REQUEST, OR THAT GENERATED OUTPUT WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR BE SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE.
MODEL PROVIDERS MAY REJECT ANY REQUEST AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON UNDER THEIR OWN POLICIES. WE DO NOT CONTROL AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDER DECISIONS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LaughTrack AI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES AND EVEN IF ANY REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LaughTrack AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your prompts, inputs, or generated content; (c) your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
13. Account termination and suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Projects stored in your browser remain on your device until you clear them.
If you have paid for credits, termination does not entitle you to a refund of credits already consumed by accepted jobs.
14. Governing law and venue
These Terms and any dispute arising from them will be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
If you have opted out of arbitration as described in Section 2, disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
15. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email where we have your address.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
16. General provisions
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and DMCA Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LaughTrack AI regarding the Service.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision in these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
Notices. Legal notices to us should be sent to legal@laughtrack.ai.
